The Dutch NGO Kashi Mandir supports a primary school in India with the same name. The Kashi Mandir primary school is the only public in the region. This school is attended by children from poor families and Dalits. There is no government subsidy available for the school because it is a so called “non-formal school”. With the contribution of the parents the teachers can be paid but they cannot afford to finance the renovation cost. The MvRf financed the renovation cost.
