This project of the NGO Silent work has a objective to give children of former slaves in Moudjheria, the sahara of Mauritania, acces to their universal right of education. This is being realised by educating two teachers and building two classrooms.

In August 2007 a law was accepted that will punish slavery with 10 years of imprisonment. Slavery has been abolished since 1981 but in reality not much was changing. For the former slaves it has been extremely difficult to build up an existence sometimes even harder than before they became free. With this project Silent Work wants to help these people build up their life and help the children to create a better future for themselves.
