NGO Harambee is active in West-Kenya since 2001. Their main activity is supporting of existing schools. They work together with two local partners. The project that is supported by the MvRF involves the renovation of classrooms on four primary schools. The schools are located in Kimilili in the Tongaren area in Kenya. These schools have between a 1000 and 1500 students and often there are more than a 100 children in one classroom on the floor without books. Harambee has set up a long term plan to re-build the schools completely.
