Help for an orphanage in Kenya

Over the last decade Thousands of children in Kenia have become victims of the HIV/AIDS virus. They have lost their parents to the epidemic and have become orphans. Before the HIV/AIDS epidemic orphanages were not necessary in the village of Bondo, Nyironge. Family took care of the children who lost their parents. Because so many people have become victims of the disease this is no longer possible. The Dutch NGO Suba founded an orphanage to give these children a home. The MvRF contributed to the project by financing a water tank and carpentry work shop. This was started to ensure that children can learn a profession and have a change to live independently when the grow up.
