Contribution to a shelter for girls

Amigos Colombianos provides shelter to girls who live on the streets of Medellin, Colombia. The aim of the project is to face the problems of these girls while they are trying to function in society. For example, these girls attend normal schools. This is special, because in South America these so-called “social problems” like drug addicts and street children are normally treated in closed shelters and mental institutions, isolated from the community. The MvRF made a one-time donation to support this project.
