Silent Work

Silent Work gives deaf children and children with other disabilities special attention. Their work stems from the principle that every child has a right to an independent and healthy life. To work towards this goal, they support local projects for clean water, healthy food, healthcare, education and work.

They work mostly in Mauritania, Senegal and Rwanda. Silent Work considers it central to their method to listen to and learn from the African way of life. This way they have built up great trust that allows them to extend their work. Especially when it comes to education for deaf children, Silent Work has set up some excellent initiatives with amazing results. The Marthe van Rijswijck Foundation is proud to have supported several of their projects.
