In 2016, the Rupingh foundation raised funds for the renovation of the primary school SDI Jengok in Desa Bangka Kantar, Indonesia. The old primary school was in a poor state and was in desperate need of renewal. There are 249 children enrolled and they are taught by 9 different teachers.

The project financially supported the building of 6 stonewall classrooms and the necessary interior, such as school benches and boards. The old building had 3 bamboo classrooms which were taken down and replaced by stone walls. The old stonewall classrooms were renovated and changed into a library. The new building allows the children to attend class and finish their primary education in an appropriate and secure setting.

The renovation started in April 2017 and was officially opened in May of the same year.
