The Dutch NGO Friends for life is active in one of the poorest areas of Kenya, the south east. They provide micro credit loans and scholarships for university to women in the area. The scholarships are also treated as loans and the idea is that, once the women finish their studies and start working, start to repay these loans. This money will then be used to pay for new scholarships. The MvRF will support 2 students for 4 years by paying for their scholarships.
