We
contributed for the second time to a solar panel project set up by the Dutch
NGO AFOS and it’s partners. The last project was successful and had a visible
positive impact on the children attending the school. This project will also be
set up in Burkina Faso but this time in the North West in the village of
Toba. The solar panels make it possible
to teach after dark. The target group of these evening classes are children
between 9 and 16 years who dropped out of school before or never went to school
and now would like to get a diploma.
We
contributed to part of the overall construction cost of the project.
