WereldOuders (Dutch for WorldParents) is the Dutch fundraising branch of the Latin American organisation Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH). NPH was founded in Mexico, in the 1950s, by William B. Wasson, a priest who felt called to help the many hungry and homeless children he encountered. NPH went on to open children’s homes in countries across Latin America, with partnered fundraising branches, including WereldOuders, in Europe and North America.

Since opening the first children’s home in 1954, more than 17000 children have found a home with NPH. Besides offering stable homes to children, NPH offers medical help, education and employment projects for the wider community.

WereldOuders was founded in the Netherlands in 1991, to support the fundraising efforts of NPH. Becoming ever more professional, WereldOuders obtained the Dutch CBF certification for charities in 2005.
