ZAP (Zambia Allocation Program) was founded by Josien Dudok van Heel in March 2008. The foundation is a non-profit organisation that supports projects in Zambia, either continually or with a single donation. Ze goal of the foundation is to improve the living conditions of the poorer segments of the Zambian population.
Josien has been going to Zambia since 1995. She has come to feel a connection with the country and was deeply moved by both the beauty of the land, as well as the kindness of the people. She saw how challenging life can be for the poor people of Zambia. In an effort to support them, she started her foundation. Since 2008 ZAP has realised several project in the Kaidu-Mumbwa area in South-Central Zambia.
