The Leprosy Mission Trust India has 6 vocational training centers across India that provide accessible classrooms, workstations and hostel facilities for 720 adolescents of which 40% are affected by leprosy. The centers educate young people from marginalised backgrounds in different sectors such as computer science, Diesel mechanics, sewing and welding.

During the academic year of July 2018 until August 2019, 97 students were admitted in different trades out of which 9 people were affected by leprosy. The TLM Residential Vocational Training in Faizabad project supported  these 9 individuals (through Leprazending Nederland) for one year of residential vocational education and placement support.

As a result, 8 out of 9 students qualified to take their final exams and 7 were employed after the completion of the program.
