In 2014, the Primary School Kinyee was in desperate need of renovation. There was a lot to be done including renovating the roof, placing new windows, repairing walls and laying new concrete floors. Additionally, 3 large watertanks that can hold 10.000 litres of water each were installed to improve the water facilities and the gutters were renewed.
The project was executed by the Kinderen in Kenia foundation (KiK). They provide financial support to improve school facilities in Kenya.

After the renovation the school held a festive reopening to welcome the students back to school. The students can now receive a safe and healthy primary education.

The Marthe van Rijswijck Foundation contributed to the renovation of the school.
