Kongolese Vrouwen stichting Tosangana is an organisation that fights for education, women, freedom and safety, and agriculture. In collaboration with their partner, Femmes en Action, they built an education centre for 256 children and 60 adults. Unfortunately, the latrines weren’t in the best state and thus very unhygienic. They were difficult to maintain due to the large number of people in the building.
In 2019, the foundation and their partner started a project to improve the hygiene of the building by providing 10 new latrines. The primary school got 6 new latrines, the secondary school received 2 and the adults were also given 2 toilets.

The new and improved latrines improve the hygiene, prevent the spread of diseases and make sure the lines for the toilets are much shorter.

The Marthe van Rijswijck Foundation funded 4 out of the 10 latrines.
