The Commmunity Relief Day Care Centre is established in Tlokweng by the Botswana Retired Nurses Society. The goal of the centre is to provide quality health care and support to the chronically and terminally ill patients including HIV/AIDS as well as orphans, vulnerable children and elderly. The Dutch Tim Knotnerus has worked as a volunteer for this foundation for several months en helped the starting up of the 2 projects currently supported by the MvRF. The first project included the purchase of tables, chairs and the for this surroundings very well known “ Poiki pots” and a microwave. The foundation often receives meals from big supermarkets who just past their “use by” date and the microwave is used to heat up meals. Besides this project the CRDCC has been busy with the fundraising for an office and 2 classrooms in order to give better education. 2 banks approved their help for one room and the washrooms. The MvRF promised the extra 20.000 Pula to build a second classroom.
